Prayer Vigil
A CELEBRATION OF PRAYER
The Unrivaled Power of Prayer
We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself
makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered -Romans
8:26
Changing our address? Yes indeed we as a community will be changing the
address of the camp for our walks in the spring. The spring walks this year
will be held at Woodlands Camp in Cleveland, Georgia.
One would think that when we see the pieces of the weekend loaded into the
storage trailer on Sunday afternoon that it would be as simple as just
unloading it again in our new site. Well as with most projects there will
be a great deal more to it than that. The Scripture above is one that is
quite true in this case. We need the Holy Spirit to intercede for us with
the groaning of our heart that cannot be uttered. We ask Him to prepare this
new place and all involved to become a dwelling place reserved for the Honor
of the Father. As a Board and a Community of Faith we long to honor Him
in each aspect of this move.
As our Emmaus community moves camp sites there will be many hours of thought
and much physical work done by many to plan and prepare for the spring
walks. As we all know this is time a great opportunity for His Church, The
Body of Christ, to pray. You know He does love to hear from us.
Let our community rally in the courts of heaven with our prayers to the
Father to continue to bless and grow His community of believers as we
continue His work in the fields that are indeed ready for harvest.
A missionary wrote a newsletter to thank his supporters for being "prayer
warriors." Because of a typing error, though, he called them "prayer
worriers." For some of us, that might be a good description. As you sign up
to pray for this move and the Spring Walks don't be a prayer worrier. Let
us use this time of preparation to "PRAISE HIM IN ADVANCE".
I know that all of you remember the moments of wonder you experienced when
you heard in the conference room that people you didn't even know were
praying intentionally for you during your weekend walk with Jesus. Let us
pay it forward in prayer for all the generations that will be touched by the
Blessed Holy Spirit at Woodlands Camp too during future gentle walks with
Him. Know my children that there is no greater heritage than one of prayer.
Let our community bring the sweet aroma of prayer to Our Father.
Please sign up to pray each day - if you can only pray 5 or 10 minutes,
that's ok if longer that's great too. Our devotion to this time and our
heart of worship is the most important aspects. As specific prayer needs
are revealed they will be added to this page, so please visit often to
keep up with the progress that He is making.

Remember: God speaks to those who take time to listen, and He listens to
those who take time to pray.
